Christmas Eve

“Into this world of darkness “the Father of Lights” sends his son to be the light of the world…

Light is weaved throughout the nativity account…

The darkness of this world will not overcome the light of Christ… The light of Christ will outshine the world’s darkness, and not just by a little bit…

The whole world will come to know the light of Christ… They will have a chance to receive it or reject it, but they will see it… Jesus is more than a baby in a Manger but the light of the world…

So what will we do with that Light:

First; He needs to be received… We all need to know the light of Christ…

Second; He needs to transform us… Light is a purifying agent and if you are in Christ your life needs to continually be under that purifying light… when shadows are exposed, subjecting those shadows to the light of Christ, allowing Him and His Spirit to make us more like Him

Finally; He needs to be shared by you… The light of Christ was meant to be shared not buried … “this little light of mine I’m going to let it shine…” Christ Himself is that “little light of mine”… The light was never us, we are only carriers of the light of Christ within us…

Let the light of Christ shine through you, let your life be that Bethlehem star that leads people to Jesus and illuminates the world you touch…”
