Our Strong, Sure Promising, Protecting & Loving God

“When we walk through difficulty many times we don’t need something new, we simply need to be reminded of what we already know…

It’s not our strength that impresses God… He is stronger than the horse, mightier than the man… it’s our faithful following (fear) and our dependents (wait) that inspires God to stand up… God “delights” in that, not how strong we may seem…

This delights God because it’s so easy to fall back on depending upon our own strength and will… to depend upon Him requires a deeper walk, a child-like faith and trust… God is strong, and we can stand in that…

Physical maturity and spiritual maturity are polar opposites…
• the more physically mature we are the more independent we are…
• the more spiritually mature we are the more dependent we are…

The promises of God are sure… God is a sure bet, even if it seems impossible…

He is our protector… God Himself “will be a wall of fire” around us… Physical things are not our protection, but the Lord himself…

Walk into this new year knowing God is strong, His promises are sure, He is our protection, and He loves you will give you confidence to follow His will within your life…

No matter what our current situation maybe, or whatever situations we may be walking into… having a healthy perspective of who God is, and His care for us will strengthen us when times are tough, and give you a humble perspective when times are great… we need both…”

Psalm 147:1-11
1 Praise the Lord!
For it is good to sing praises to our God;
For it is pleasant and praise is beautiful.
2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
He gathers the outcasts of Israel.
3 He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
4 He counts the number of the stars;
He gives names to all of them.
5 Great is our Lord and abundant in strength;
His understanding is infinite.
6 The Lord supports the afflicted;
He brings the wicked down to the ground.
7 Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving;
Sing praises to our God on the lyre;
8 It is He who covers the heavens with clouds,
Who provides rain for the earth,
Who makes grass sprout on the mountains.
9 It is He who gives an animal its food,
And feeds young ravens that cry.
10 He does not delight in [i]the strength of the horse;
He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 The Lord favors those who fear Him,
Those who wait for His faithfulness.

Isaiah 54:9-10
9 “For this is like the days of Noah to Me,
When I swore that the waters of Noah
Would not flood the earth again;
So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you
Nor rebuke you.
10 For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake,
But My favor will not be removed from you,
Nor will My covenant of peace be shaken,”
Says the Lord who has compassion on you.

Zechariah 2:4-5
4 And he said to him, “Run, speak to that young man there, saying, ‘Jerusalem will be inhabited as open country because of the multitude of people and cattle within it. 5 But I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire to her on all sides, and I will be the glory in her midst.’”

Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against you will succeed;
And you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord.
