Let’s Dig Some Ditches

“ADONAI says to dig until this valley is full of trenches.”

We are at war! The more we push forward the more the enemy will come against us…

Satan doesn’t want to see believers living in unity, and love, because when the world sees that they are drawn to Jesus… he will stop at nothing to shake us from our fellowship with one another…

We must be digging ditches to catch His blessing and win our battles, we must prepare ourselves…

God is preparing us that we would be ready for the harvest… if our hearts have been receptive, we can look back and see the ditches we’ve already dug…

Digging ditches is both preparing our own souls, and laboring in the fields…

We also see there are two movements in this; God would bring the water, but these kings and there men were to dig ditches…

“Do not omit your duty; but do not attempt His.”

Revival starts with the open hearts of believers as they live and walk and seek God in obedience to Him… as we take on His heart, our hearts will be filled with joy for the things that fill His heart with joy, and will also break with His heart… and in this relationship our prayers are directed by Him and empowered by Him…

Revival only comes when His people are saturated with God…

We’ve got to get a hold of God, that He can get a hold of us!

We also must put legs on our prayers… “God give us the lost! Give us this city for Christ!” Good prayers, and prayers we should be all lifting up to Christ… but are we building relationships with people that do not know Christ… but because we love them…

Are we loving God and loving our fellow humanity, are we growing in God and relationship with one another, are we engaging our community throughout the week?

I believe we all want to see God do awesome things in our lives and church and community. But just like digging physical ditches it takes hard work and commitment, but it’s worth the work, sweat, blood and tears.

Will you commit yourself to digging ditches as God leads you both personally and within the church?”
