“Our world is being shaken… How will we respond when our world is shaken…
Jesus’ response is to keep them on mission with His empowerment…
The Church in Jerusalem is booming, and they are standing strong for Jesus… But they are missing something in the great commission that Jesus had given them… they were good on Jerusalem… but they were missing “all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
We have been shaken and scattered… and times are scary… but if we’ll follow the Spirit of God something wonderful can happen through this time… we can take Jesus and the Holy Spirit with us…
God was moving and the world was shaking…
People today are shaken… they are looking for something… and if you’re in Christ there is a great hope in you that they need… now is the time to share that hope if there ever was a time…
The only thing that will survive that is present with us today is God’s Kingdom… this is the only sure foundation… we must be a part of that kingdom to be found on the good side of that equation…
We can take this time to ride it out, wait for things to return to normal and go back to our old lives… but there is another way… we can take this time when everything is being shaken… and find what cannot be shaken (or rediscover Him)…
Will we live our lives with a greater dependency upon God…
• Will Jesus be Lord alone in our lives…
• Will we finally jettison our idols and comfortable sins…
• Will we finally be bold in sharing our faith…
We have been shaken and scattered… and times are scary… but if we’ll follow the Spirit of God something wonderful can happen…
• We can move from a foundation of sand to a foundation of Rock…
• From these systems of the world, to something more eternal…”
