“In this fight of faith you have an ally if you can control it, and a stumbling block if you cannot… that is your five senses… See, hear, feel, smell and taste… Our five senses allow us to perceive and know the weight of the challenge in front of us, but faith should determine the path we should take…

If you let your five senses rule you, you will be a roller coaster up one minute and down the next… Your mind and emotions are tied to these five senses… fear will attack you through these senses… you must not allow yourself to be driven by fear that tries to rule your five senses…

No matter how hot the fire, no matter how difficult the time, you don’t have to smell like smoke on the other end of your trial… We don’t have to live with the smell and bondage of our past fires… What really happens in our fiery trials, is if approached rightly, they will actually burn off your bondage…

Sometimes we can have more faith in a lie than we do the truth… Our five senses would tell us to bow and fight another day… But that wasn’t the call of faith…

This was a crazy thing to ask Noah to do, but He followed the Lord in obedience… as was the pattern of his life… This was a leap of faith and took a long commitment… His faith was not a one-time moment, he gave his life over to follow the Lord in obedience…

Noah’s faith was expressed by more than being a good guy… but doing what no one else was doing… he stood out without attention seeking, at the direction of God…

Our five senses allow us to perceive and know the weight of the challenge in front of us, but faith should determine the path we should take… Our faith in God, and mastery of our five senses, will allow us to live fearlessly…

So in this time of shaking, in this time of visitation we need to be lead by our faith, not our senses…

“God what are you teaching me… God needs to change coming out of this?”

We don’t have to bow down to the idols of this world…

We can trust in the leadership of the Lord, even if He’s leading us through a long hard season… the reward is worth it…”
